That cracking sound you hear is a whole bunch of American men's hearts shattering. A new report set for publication this week claims that Jessica Alba and her long-time sweetie Cash Warren are going to hit the altar in 2007.

Star Magazine runs an item that claims that Jessica started 2007 with the right amount of sparkle; a $100,000 diamond solitaire from boyfriend of two years Cash Warren.

From the report - it sounds as if the whole proposal was very romantic. The assistant producer, 27, popped the question at the stroke of midnight, hours after he gave Jessica, 25, the ring. The two plan to marry in May in Miami before “50 close friends and family,’ an insider tells the entertainment magazine.

“The last thing they want is a media circus,” the source added to the mag.

The pair have been rumored to be engaged before. But they have now been dating for a full two years as they began their relationship in January of 2005. An earlier report had claimed that Jess was spotted in Miami over the New Year’s weekend with a ring on her wedding finger.

Apparently, the pair enjoyed a two-minute-long smooch when the clock struck midnight at a DKNY Jeans New Year’s Eve party at Casa Casuarina. Celebrity News Online notes that while this may be the case, men, don’t lose hope too quickly. Jessica has been engaged before, to “Dark Angel” co-star Michael Weatherly.
